bamboo & co.: a brand that grows with the agency

I built the new identity for Bamboo, a Brazilian branding and communications agency. Beyond a change of style, I proposed a system that follows the agency’s next step: serving mid-sized companies with branding services.
The starting point
Bamboo already had a strong metaphor, bamboo: renewal, longevity and growth that lasts. What was missing was an identity to match the next step: looking more mature, more consistent and ready to be hired by mid-sized companies.
The idea: brand as ecosystem
Bamboo gave us the way of looking at brands, as ecosystems. I designed the identity as an open system: as the agency grows, the brand grows with it, without having to be redone.
The identity
The main signature is bamboo & co., always in lowercase, with a monogram, the “b” in rings, that works as avatar, favicon and seal, and a secondary signature, b & co. The palette runs from forest to sage, with lime as the accent. The typeface is Stolzl, and the pattern, vertical stripes of varying heights and tones, signs everything Bamboo makes.
A voice to match
Lowercase titles, sentences broken into short lines like verses, and invitations as questions (“shall we talk?”): a warm, confident voice, without arrogance.
Built to grow
I delivered the brand guideline and kits the team can apply on its own: color variations, alternative patterns, presentation templates, Instagram models and email signatures.
